Create Student Segments

Segment your students into groups, sections on shared characteristics, and filters for easy accessibility and differentiation.

Create a segment:

Navigate to the People menu and on the Students page, click on the drop-down menu indicated with the star icon.
You have the option of viewing All students, Active students, and Inactive students by default.

👉 Note: ‘Active students’ are students who have scheduled upcoming future classes and ‘inactive students’ are students who have completed all classes and have no upcoming ones.

Click the Add segment button to add a new segment with different filters.
In the sidebar pop-up, type in the Segment name.

💡 These filters would help segment students into groups based on similarities, making it easier to classify them.

The filters:

Enrollment - Toggle the Enrollment button and search for the subject(s) from the drop-down menu you want the students to segment based on their enrolled subject(s).
For example - Audrey wants to segment students only in math class, so by selecting the same, all of the students enrolled in math subjects would be shown on the student list.

Location - Toggle the button, select a Location(s), and segment students based on your selection to display all students from that location on your list.
For example - Audrey only wants to see students from Dubai, so by selecting the same, all the students from the location of Dubai would be seen on her student list.

Schedule - Toggle the button for the same and choose a timeline from the Calendar icon to segment students who have classes scheduled for the same. Or, select from the default options of Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, This week, Last 30 days, This month, and All time.
For example - Audrey selects the last 30 days, and all the students that had classes for the same would be displayed on the student list.

Created on - Toggle the button and select the Calendar icon to narrow down the timeline you want the students to be segmented in. Or, from the drop-down menu, you can select the default options such as Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, This week, or, Last 30 days to narrow your student list.
For example - Audrey selects the last 7 days and the students who were added during that time will appear on the student list.

Invoiced - Toggle the button and select the one or multiple subjects that the students have been invoiced for.
For example - Audrey wants to separate students into groups based on whether they have bought math basics subjects. Only the students who have been invoiced for these subjects will be shown altogether.

Staff - Toggle the button and select one or more staff members to segment students based on their primary staff.
For example - If Audrey selects staff A and staff B, she will be presented with a list of students who have both staff members assigned as their primary staff.

📣 There is no restriction on selecting one or more filters simultaneously.
