Setting up and enrolling a student for a make up session
Easily set up make up sessions for your classes and make sure your students have the chance to catch up on any missed classes with the steps provided below.
To elucidate with an example,
When creating a package, you can determine the number of make up sessions. Audrey, an administrator at a tutoring school included 2 makeup sessions for all their packages, ensuring that if a student like Peter purchases a package, he can make up to 2 missed sessions.
When Peter is absent for a session, he is automatically credited a make up session. When Audrey enrolls Peter in a class, she has the choice to enroll him to a make up session or a regular class.
If your package includes make up sessions and a student misses the original class, you have the option to enroll them in a make up session.
First, access the Calendar and then click on a scheduled class or create a new class to enroll students.
Under the Enrollments, search and select the desired student from the drop-down menu.
You will get a drop-down option to Enroll as a make up class. Click on the same and the student will be enrolled in a make up session! Note: This option appears once a student has been marked absent for a past class)

FAQs
My student has 2 make up classes as per their package but I don't see them under their enrollment make up balance
Ans: The make up session balance is visible once a student is marked absent for a class.
Why isn't "enroll as a make up class" listed in my drop-down?
Ans: The student has either been present for all previous classes or has completed their make up sessions. Alternatively, you can check if your package includes makeup sessions.
Why isn't "absent" available in my attendance dropdown when marking attendance? My student was automatically marked as absent billable.
Ans: The student's eligibility for make up classes is defined by the package. Once the defined number of make up sessions is utilized, any additional absence will result in automatic billing.
Although I updated my package from x to_ y_ make up classes, my student is still receiving x make up classes. Why is this happening?
Ans: The make up sessions cannot be altered in real-time as the package has already been invoiced, and adjustments cannot be made to existing sessions.
Initially, my student was invoiced for x sessions, which I later changed to y sessions. Despite this alteration, why is the student still receiving the set number of make up sessions according to the package?
Ans: Make up sessions are not prorated based on invoice alterations. Students qualify for make up sessions as per their package. To add or deduct make up sessions, kindly create a new package.
Why am I unable to select a different invoice while marking attendance for a make up class for a student?
Ans: The attached invoice is consistently tied to the original invoice for the make up session enrollment, ensuring the accuracy of make up session counts.
My student accidentally registered for a regular class, but I'd like to switch them to a make up class on the same day. How?
Ans: To do this, exclude the student from enrollment, selecting "remove for this event only," then re-enroll the student in the "enroll as a make up class" option.
A student of mine was absent for an unbilled session. But now, when I'm invoicing them, the absence isn't being considered a make up session. What do I do?
Ans: Only invoiced sessions marked as absent qualify for make up sessions. Remember to link the invoice to an enrollment before marking attendance.
