Setting Up a Facility

You can nest your location(s) within a larger location to ensure maximum utilization of your location space and also generate additional revenue.

Imagine you’re running a football academy with a large football field, which could be divided into half-courts and quarter-courts. You can list not only the entire field as a location but also add the half-courts and quarter-courts as separate locations, which are part of a larger location (the whole football field).

This setup allows for flexible booking options. Customers who want to rent the entire field (say, for an 11v11 match) can book the primary location—the entire football field. Someone who needs only half a court (say, for a 7v7 match) can rent the half-court, which is part of the larger location.

📍 When the entire field is rented out, the half-courts and quarter-courts are not available for separate rentals.

Conversely, when the entire field isn't booked, customers can reserve half-courts and quarter-courts. If a half-court is booked, the other half remains available for separate rentals.

💡 You can price the entire facility at a premium, while offering the individual courts at lower rates. This can help you cater to diverse customer preferences and budgets.

Follow these steps to set up a location within a larger location:

First, you need to create a new location for the larger space by following the steps for " Adding a Location."
Next, create new locations for parts of the larger space you want to nest within it. Follow the same steps as above to set up these nested locations.
While you are adding these locations, toggle the Located within a larger location? button.
Then, in the Choose larger location tab, select the primary location that you have created in Step 1 from the Search location drop-down menu.

After completing all the other steps for adding a location, click Save.

Here are a few examples to help you better understand this feature:

Imagine you're running a tennis academy with a large facility consisting of four tennis courts side by side. You can list not only the entire tennis facility as a location but also add each tennis court as a separate location, nesting them under the primary location (the tennis facility). Someone can rent the entire facility, which includes all four tennis courts. When the entire facility is rented out, the individual courts are not available for separate rentals.
Conversely, when the entire facility isn't booked, customers can reserve individual tennis courts. If a single court is booked, the other three courts remain available for separate rentals.

If you are a basketball academy, your primary location could be a basketball court that can also be used for padel and futsal with minor modifications. You could list the basketball court as the primary location, then add separate locations for the padel court and futsal court, nesting them within the larger location—the basketball court.

Your dance academy could have multiple dance studios. You could rent out the entire academy or smaller studios separately. The main location would be your whole dance academy, while the smaller studios could be added as separate locations nested within the larger location—the dance academy.
