Adding a Lead

Classcard allows you to keep track of all the leads in your institution. By following the simple steps outlined below, you can add a lead and monitor their progress.

There are 4 methods by which a lead can be added:

Adding manually
Share a form
Sign up on online booking page
Bulk import

Method 1: Adding manually (Individually)



Navigate to the People menu, and click on Leads.
Then, click on Add Lead button on the top right side of your screen.
Add the Lead’s personal information such as their First and Last name.
Add their Email Id and Phone number choosing the country code from the drop-down options.
You can upload their Photo, add details such as their gender, nationality, birth date, and referral source, and click save.


You can add additional details such as -

Address - such as the country, street address, city, state, and postal code.
Academic information - such as school, year/grade the lead is in, curriculum/exam board.
Subjects interested in - click on Add subject button and choose the subjects.
Guardian - such as first and last name, relationship with the guardian, and mark the boxes if you want the email and phone number to be the same as the student or untick it and add the same.
💡Check the boxes if you want to use the guardian's phone number as an emergency contact and if you want to send invoices to the guardian.
Miscellaneous - in the text field one and two, you can add additional information about the lead.
Custom fields - furthermore, there is an option to create custom fields by clicking on the same and filling in the required information.






Navigate to the People menu, and click on Lead form under the heading Setup.
You can customize input fields, add new ones, and include a note in the lead form. To know more about customizing a student form, check out this article, adding custom fields (lead form).
You can share the link of the registration form by clicking on the Open Form button located at the top right corner of the screen or embed lead form.
You may then share the form's URL with the students so they can fill it out.




Method 3: Leads sign up while booking online



On your online booking page, a lead can sign up / create an account to enroll in a class or a batch.
They can click on the profile button on the top right corner of the screen and select the sign-up option. Alternatively, they will be prompted to sign-up while making a purchase online.
Then, the lead may enter all the necessary information and sign up as a lead successfully.

💡The input fields on the form are same as method 2

Method 4: Bulk import



Navigate to the People menu > Leads > click Add lead button on the top right side of your screen and then select Bulk import.
On the Load file pop-up page, you can either Drop or Upload files such as CSV, XLSX, XLS format or, Copy paste table data.
In both ways, select a Header row and then Map columns of the Template fields to respective Columns in your file.
Lastly Verify data and click on the Submit button.
